ESSP is proud to be the speech pathology provider of choice for St Vincent’s Private Hospital Allied Health Service Sydney. Directed by Therese Dodds, members of the team including Caitlin Guyatt, Zoe Miller Stubbs, Dr Emma Wallace and Zali Hall provide acute care for patients admitted to SVPH across all caseloads. We are thrilled to be able to provide services across the complete continuum of care for patients including pre-operative/pre-admission education, assessment and management of communication and/or swallowing during the inpatient stay, and outpatient and/or home-based rehabilitation through ESSP upon discharge home as required.

• Comprehensive ward-based assessment and management of the array of swallowing and communication disorders encountered during an inpatient stay
• Particular expertise in the management of transoral robotic surgical (TORS) head and neck patients, laryngectomy care, cardiothoracic care, and complex neurological presentations
• On-demand video fluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS)/modified barium swallows (MBS) through a respected partnership with St Vincent’s Clinic Medical Imaging
• Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) with your ESSP Speech Pathologist and a skilled ENT specialist
• Early discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition of speech pathology services from the inpatient to the outpatient setting where appropriate
