CAITLIN GUYATT - Speech PATHOLOGIST
Eastern Suburbs Speech Pathology warmly welcomed Caitlin to the team in 2018. With experience working in metropolitan hospital in and outpatient settings, Caitlin brings a broad range of skills in the area of adult Speech Pathology care to our team. As a key contributor to our Palliative Care Service, Caitlin combines her empathetic approach with high level clinical decision making to ensure that patients receiving end of life care have the best opportunities to communicate and swallow according to best practice and their own wishes. Her experience working in Stroke Units means that her long term communication and swallowing rehabilitation work in the community is of a high standard. Caitlin is a keen contributor to those living with a broad range of disabilities. She provides individualised communication services and mealtime management plans in the community for those receiving support through the NDIS. A member of NSW Dysphagia Interest Group and lifelong learner, Caitlin has quickly stepped up to be at the forefront of Eastern Suburbs Speech Pathology Quality Improvement projects.
Luisa Krein - Speech PATHOLOGIST
Eastern Suburbs Speech Pathology is fortunate to have Luisa’s services contracted for 2 days per week every week! Making a significant impact on the lives of those living with complex communication challenges, Luisa brings high level Speech, Language and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) skills to our practice and patients. When she is not with Eastern Suburbs Speech Pathology, Luisa is busy completing her PhD in the area of Dementia and Communication. We’re grateful for her Clinical and Academic skills!
Sarah O’connor - Speech PATHOLOGIST
Known for her excellent skill-base in adult disability care, Sarah is an asset to the Eastern Suburbs Speech Pathology Team. With particular experience working with young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sarah approaches her assessment and management of communication disorders with everyday function in mind! Given Sarah’s experience working in the community and managing adult swallowing disorders in metropolitan and rural residential care facilities, she is a practical, resourceful and kind clinician! You will find Sarah working with us 5 days per week.
Scarlett Ritchie - Speech PATHOLOGIST
Joining the practice in 2019, Eastern Suburbs Speech Pathology is thrilled to have Scarlett working with the team in a casual role. With 2 years experience in both public and private hospitals, Scarlett has developed a broad range of clinical skills managing communication and swallowing disorders in a variety of contexts. Areas of specific interest and clinical knowledge include swallowing rehabilitation after stroke, Neurology, Head and Neck Oncology and managing clients within the Palliative Care setting. Scarlett also has a background in Performing Arts and with this comes a keen appreciation of the challenges facing professional voice users and those interested in accent modification and public speaking. She is passionate about working collaboratively with clients and families and takes great care developing strong therapeutic relationships and applying evidenced based clinical solutions to treat the unique needs of the individual.
